PORTABLE SLALOM COURSE SYSTEMS

FIRST A WORD ABOUT OUR TURNKEY COURSE PRICING - If you're comparing the prices of our turnkey course systems to the price of our competitor’s turnkey course, you need to know the exact difference between the two to make an accurate apples-to-apples price comparison.

Our basic course prices are similar and very close to our competition’s basic course price (despite our much higher content and superior engineering). Our buoys are priced about the same as theirs. We include two buoy bags and anchor shackles, they include one large buoy bag. So why are our turnkey systems priced higher than theirs? The primary difference in price between the two is in the anchors we provide versus their anchors.

From them you'll get two 20 lb navy anchors; with our system you get two 30 lb river anchors. We've tested everything imaginable to anchor a portable slalom course (including navy anchors of various design and weight) and hands down the 30 lb river anchor is the best anchor available, period. If it weren't we would be selling whatever else was the best anchor available for this application.

A navy anchor by its nature must be dragged for a distance before it either digs in or finds something to hook under. A river anchor begins to grab almost immediately and works better in a wider variety of bottom conditions. When tensioning your course, once you've stretched the mainline you'll want the 2nd anchor to grab quickly to hold the tension you've pulled on the mainline to straighten the course. If the 2nd anchor doesn't grab quickly (and if the first anchor doesn't hold well) you won't get sufficient tension on the mainline. Without sufficient tension the course won't go or stay straight, regardless of who built it. If your course isn't straight you're not going to be happy with it. 30 lb river anchors combine excellent holding design with sufficient weight to do the job properly. That is why we only use and suggest the 30 lb river anchors.

These anchors simply cost more than lighter weight, inferiorly designed navy anchors. Combined with our higher content and superior engineering, that is the reason our turnkey course prices are slightly higher than theirs. Once you've used our river anchors to hold your course we're confident that you'll consider it money very well spent.

Please Note: Their turnkey course systems are priced with only 20 lb navy anchors included. We included 30 lb river anchors with ours. With theirs you can upgrade to 30 lb navy anchors for an additional fee beyond the price they list initially for their turnkey package (but they're still navy anchors). So when you price compare our systems to theirs MAKE SURE you add for their upgrade anchors to get an accurate pricing comparison between our turnkey course systems and theirs.

HeavyDuty Upgrade Option – replaces the standard issue zinc-plated steel spring clips (the connectors that make telescoping interlocking arm sections possible) with corrosion resistant stainless steel spring clips; also replaces the standard shock corded portable course buoy lines with our permanent course HeavyDuty buoy lines (heavy surgical rubber tubing in place of shock cord, all corrosion proof hardware).  For short term freshwater installation use the standard issue spring clips will last the life of the course and the standard portable course buoy lines should provide several years of service.  For courses intended for long term installation or installation in salt water, the HD Upgrade Option is required to keep the warranty in force.  Damage caused due to long term installation or saltwater use is not covered under our warranty unless this option is included.

Our steel cable mainline uses high quality stainless steel cable with a clear, flexible coating and is built to the same exacting standards and tolerances you've come to expect from all of our other products. We use ONLY marine grade crimps for all connections. Ten Year Warranty on any of our mainlines. Six-to-four buoy convertible course option available with either mainline, $35 additional.

ANCHORS - Tri-fluted river anchors are the best we’ve tested for use with a portable course, and we’ve tried them all! These will "lock in" quickly and hold well in a large variety of bottom conditions (muck, gravel, sand, rocky etc.). Weight 30 lbs. each. Vinyl coated for easy clean up. Canadian and Other Shipping Charges

Unless otherwise noted, our above advertised list prices include shipping to an address within the continental United States. For items shipped to Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii we deduct the average cost to ship to the major US city nearest to you and add only the additional cost to ship into Canada etc. We will require your shipping address and postal code to figure accurate shipping costs for you. We always ship by the lowest cost method available and we never mark up shipping charges - you pay what we pay, not a cent more.

For shipping to destinations other than the US and Canada, to ship the item(s) ordered we deduct the average cost to ship within the US and add only the additional shipping to the total. In other words you pay only the additional cost to ship the item outside the US, NOT the entire shipping charge. We use the lowest cost shipping available or a shipper of your choice if that is your preference.
